Something different...Animania began as an alternate to Goth-Punk Live Action, which was prevalent in the South in the late 90's. Originally, Animania was run at three conventions, Coast Con, Crescent City Con, and Project A-kon. There was also no visible semblance of an overall meta-plot. Each story was self-contained, and was created that way on purpose. The creators of Animania, Christian and Janna Roule (then Janna McGill), were unsure if they'd be able to tell the overall Animania Story to its conclusion. However, in 2000, the first of three story arcs had ended, and it was decided to see Animania through to the end. In 2001, Animania was moved solely to Project A-kon. For the past nine years, L.I.F.E. has put on a story of unparalleled quality at every Project A-kon, dropping hints and clues, and lead players to the very conclusion crafted in 1996.
